Facilities at Oxbow
In 2006 Oxbow did a major renovation of the 19th
Century Inn. Housing is in single
or double rooms. ThereÕs a new kitchen and dining room though the old dining
room and the porches are still used. ItÕs been wonderfully done and looks like
itÕs always been there. There is no heating or air conditioning so bring
appropriate bedding/clothing for cool to hot weather. In May it can be very
chilly at night and warm or cool during the day, but it could also be hot and
humid.
Please bring or ship ahead (allow 2 weeks) via UPS, Federal
Express or Parcel Post: sleeping
bag or other warm bedding, blanket, pillow, towels, personal toiletries,
sunscreen, insect repellent, flashlight, clock, rain gear, small fan and beach
stuff. We can swim in Lake
Michigan, but it will be cold.
Optional-Ðearplugs, radio, travel mug for coffee, sunglasses, music,
water bottle, umbrella and camera. Holland is a short drive away with all the
major large chains. Saugatuck & Douglas are few minutes if you are in need
of sundries, liquor, or whatever.
